New Sega Lindbergh ATX Adapter

Problem: Lindbergh PSUs as they age have been known to take out video cards as well as motherboards and cause all sorts of stability issues running Game Bd. This is a well know issue. Sega does not sell replacement video cards unless new PSU has been installed. But new Lindbergh PSUs do not exist so what options do you have? Hack in an ATX unit? It works and it was the only recommendation I offered for years. But in our industry, most operators are at best plug and play. We need a plug and play option...

Solution: The new ATX to Lindbergh adapter. Super simple install. Perfect solution.

Simply connect the ATX 24 pin connector to same connector on Lindbergh. Connect the original PSUs 18 pin harness from adapter to Lindbergh. Connect original PSUs 14 pin harness to adapter. Then you just need the following three harnesses from ATX unit to plug into adapter. That is the two four pin connectors Yellow / Black wires that normally plugs directly to mobo. These attach together and make an 8p connector. Then plug in two SATA connectors from ATC. Last plug in the 6p connector from ATX. As for AC power to ATX, you can use the molded cable that came with your ATX unit and plug into a plug strip along with games power cable or splice molded cable into original AC input harness.

*Best to use a modular 500W to 600W ATX PSU for conversion. I like modular units because you can just use the harnesses you need and leave the others not needed out of setup.*
